Who is it for?

This course is for employees wishing to learn basic first aid, which qualifies them to act as a responsible person in an emergency. This course is also suitable for those wishing to attend a general first aid course.

Course content includes:

· Welcome and Introduction to Course

· Health and Safety

· Aims of First Aid

· Management of a First Aid Incident

· Primary Survey (initial care for conscious and unconscious casualties)

· Secondary Survey

· Recovery Position

· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

· Monitoring a Casualty

Pre-requisites

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline.

Qualification

Appointed Person Certificate (this is not an HSE certified First Aid at Work course)

Validity

Certificate is valid for three years.

It is strongly recommended that you update your skills by taking an annual refresher.
